I do enjoy a good meal and I have noticed that many of my friends do also. I guess I over eat a little but being married to a vegetarian helps keep me in line. What I really enjoy is a bargain for my buck. Ofcourse I know that the proprietor wants to make a living but a $30 plate is not on my list--

One of my favorites-- the 5-way at Skyline Chili
  Local to Ridge Manor
  • "Tom's" just north of Dade City, Fla   the fish on friday is great!
  • "OddCuples" used to be Chucks in Bushnell, Fla  they poach a good egg for breakfast and have a interesting potato pancake.
  • Poncho's Villa in SanAntonio, Fla and Zephyrhill, Fla  good mexican
  • The Whistle Stop, by the tracks in Bushnell, Fla   the fish on Fri is great!
  • The Fisherman on SR 44, east of Innverness, Fla
  • Wendy's  get the baked potato on the .99 cent menu and cover it with a small bowl of chili-- uummm goood!
  • Cracker Barrel consistantly good food.
  • TacoBell   the bean burrito or taco is great!
  • McDonalds  usually has a .99 breakfast sandwhich & a senior coffee
  • Golden Corral  the one in Brooksville has the best fried catfish around!
  • Checkers Drive-in try the chili cheeseburger--
  • Waffle House  try Berts Chili and get the crackers too!
  • Foot long Coney's in Brooksville, FL
  • There's a tropical fruit stand in Ridge manor (SR 50 & HWY 301) Great pressed Cuban!

  Not so local
  • Parksdale Farm Market  in Plant City, Fl-- great strawberries! We get a carload and go there 3-4 times in the spring (Feb-Apr)
  • Skyline Chili, a favorite eating place from Ohio (also in Fla)
  • Bob Evans  consistantly good food.   From Michigan to Fla
  • Huddle House in Inverness, FL for a great bowl of Chili
  • The Waffle House in Bushnell, FL  Try Berts Chili!
  • Piccadilly  be sure to take a big appetite!
  • Bojangles  their Country Ham Biscuits are GREAT!
  • CiCi's Pizza a great pizza and salad bar buffet for about 5 bucks
  • Fazoli's Italian Fast Food  and great bread sticks which keep bringing to you (especially if you are on a diet)
